- The Control Center can be found
by clicking on the light-bulb in the tray in Windows (bottom right
of the screen beside the time).
- The green-light icons on this page show you at a glance which
parts of the suite are currently active.
- You can scroll through this document and read it in its entirety,
or click on one of the tabs on the image to the right to skip
right to that section.
|
|
- Here you can enable/disable the virus-protection
by placing the dot in Enabled/Disabled.
- As soon as you open the program and have an internet connection,
the software should update itself automatically. If not, click
on the AntiVirus Updates to manually update.
|
 |
- If you forced the program to update itself or
if it was automatically doing it, this is what the screen will
look like as it tries to find updates for you.
|
 |
- The definitions should start downloading to your
machine. Depending on how many updates there are, this may take
some time to complete.
|
 |
- You may encounter this error whilst downloading
the Antivirus updates. This error means the program does not have
the proper access it requires.
Usually this is caused by a firewall (like ZoneAlarm or BlackIce)
blocking it. Make sure you configure your firewall to let the
software have access.
|

|
- Assuming you did not see the error above, you
will see one of two screens next.
- The first means updates were found and installed.
The second means you are already up to date and no updates are
required.
Either way simply click the Close button to return |

|
- You are now able to scan your entire machine.
Click on the Scan My Computer link
|
 |
- Here you can choose what to scan for viruses.
We HIGHLY recommend scanning your entire system.
To do this, simply click the Scan All button near the
lower right.
- If you do want to choose specific drives or folders to scan,
put checks beside everything you wish to scan then click the Scan
button.
|
 |
- The scanning engine will begin to scan the things
you asked it to. The blue bar along the top will zip by showing
you which files are currently being scanned as well as the overall
progress.
- If any infected files are found, they will appear the white
section below.
- If viruses are found, follow the onscreen instructions for removal.
If no Viruses are found, simply close this window by using the
"X" at the top-right of the window.
|
 |
- Also on this screen are buttons to view your
old scans (Scan History Log) and create/modify
when the software will automatically scan your computer for viruses
(Scheduled Scans).
- Feel free to investigate these two options for yourself and
make any changes you feel are necessary, though the defaults are
usually sufficient.
