| To install the new dialer, please follow
these directions.
- Please read these complete instructions before you begin the dialer
upgrade process. If you feel you will need a copy of these instructions
during the installation of the new dialer, please print this page
by clicking
or by choosing File ---> Print from within your web browser.
- Click
to download the new dialer. Please save it to your Desktop, or
a location on your computer where you will be able to easily find
it after saving it.
Tip: To save it to your Desktop,
click Save when the box pops up prompting you to save the file, then
choose 'Desktop' from the drop down box at the top of the Save window.
- If you have the old iGlide Dialer installed, please uninstall it
by going to Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel.
Tip: If you are unsure where
Add/Remove Programs is, a handy shortcut to access it in Windows XP
is to click Start ---> Run, then type appwiz.cpl in the
box and click OK.
Once you have Add/Remove Programs open, click 'iGlide Internet Access'
within the list and choose to remove it. You can safely click Yes
if it asks you to remove any files from your system.
- Once the old dialer is uninstalled, double click the file you saved
earlier for the new dialer; it will be called 'iGlideDialerSetup.exe'.
You will find it where you chose to save it earlier, so it's likely
on your Desktop.

Follow the instructions below to complete installation of the new iGlide
Dialer software. |

In order to continue with this installation, you must accept the Terms
of Service.
Click "I Agree" to continue.
Clicking either the "I Do Not Agree" or "Cancel"
buttons will result in the following message box:

The "< Back" button has no effect at this time.

It's best to allow the dialer to install in the recommended folder of
"C:\Program Files\iGlide Internet".
If you wish to change this, you may do so by clicking the "Browse..."
button and then navigating to the folder of your choice.
Click "Next >" to proceed with the installation.
This will copy all of the necessary installation files to the Destination
Folder. See screen shot below.
Clicking "Cancel" will invoke a message box like the
one shown above and will terminate the installation process if confirmed.

The process of copying the files over does not typically take very long. |

Once the files have been copied over the system will need to be restarted.
Click "OK" to automatically restart the system.
If you need to save any documents or stop any other applications you
may click "Cancel" and the restart the system manually
when you're ready.

Upon reboot, the installation will automatically continue and will present
the following two choices.
Choose "I already have an account" and click "Next
>"
You will be prompted to confirm that you are an existing user, click
"YES" to continue.
If, during this process, you should accidentally press "Cancel"
you may restart this process by double clicking on the following icon
(it will be located on your desktop):

The first step involves selecting a local dialup number to access the
internet.
You may choose from the entire list of numbers via the drop down list.
Alternativley you may type in either the name of the city in which
you reside or your area code in the search text box and then click the
"Search" button. This will bring you immediately to
your city or area code.
Once you select a number in the drop down list you may click "Next
>".

** It's very important that you choose an access number that
is LOCAL to you. Failing to do so will result in long distance charges
for the duration of your connection. ** |
This next window configures the way your system will dial the selected
access number.
If you normally need to dial a digit to get an outside line, put a
check next to "To access an outside
line, Dial:" and then enter the digit in the appropriate text
box.
If you have call waiting and want to disable it while you're connected
to the internet, put a check next to "To
disable Call Waiting, Dial:" and choose the appropriate key sequence
in the drop down list.
If you need to dial the area code for all local numbers put a check
next to "Use 10-Digit Dialing".
Put a check next to "Use Pulse Dialing"
if your phone service does not use tones to dial.
As you select the various options the exact number your computer will
dial will be displayed at the bottom of the window.
Click "Next >" to continue.

Once you've selected and configured the dial up number you will be prompted
to confirm it.
Clicking "No" will bring you back to the window above.
If you're satisfied with the number you've selected, click "Yes"
to continue.

All of the fields in this window need to be filled out.
Enter your username and password exactly as you had created them before.
Click "Next >" when you're done.

Once the account information has been entered you can click "Finish" to
end this process.

Clicking "OK" will bring up the new dialer configured with your exisitng
information. |
